Group Learning Contract
Milgram's (1963) study of obedience; whether people would obey an unjust demand
Aims;
- Discuss aims, procedures and findings of Milgram's study of obedience
- Identify the conclusions
- Consider any other issues such as ethics
Resources of where to obtain information from;
- Electronic Journals
- Google Scholar (internet)
- Books/journals
- As some of the group have already studied this particular area of work at A level, then appropriate notes will also be looked at and included.
Negotiable Group Processes;
- Plan to meet twice a week for a total of 3 hours as a group, including the hour workshop
- Members will be allocated particular areas of work, which they can research and bring back to the group
- All members required to do the same amount of work on each section and bring together, therefore everyone has an input
- Each member will draft their slides and then present to the group, this ensures each member is satisfied and confident with presenting their particular area
- The group will evaluate each slide and make appropriate changes before designing and completing presentation
- To create an equal number of slides
- To attend each meeting with relevant information
- To keep in touch to monitor progress via phone/e-mail/in person
- To have equal part in preparing and presenting as well as organising and designing the content of the work
Non-negotiable Milestones:
- Important deadlines to be kept in mind at all times, to ensure work is completed in time and to a high standard
- Learning contract - electronically submitted (30/11/05)
- PowerPoint Presentation (8th/15th Dec)
