The Course
Wetherby Golf Club has a lush 18-hole parkland course in the picturesque village of Linton, close to the market town of Wetherby. It is set on an escarpment and bordered by the river Wharfe which provides stunning views on six of the holes. Founded in 1910 the course was redesigned in 1919 by the legendary course architect Dr Alister McKenzie. Renowned for its verdant fairways it offers an entertaining and challenging but fair test of golf. From the tiger tees the recently improved course measures almost 6700 yards. However there are now 5 tee options offering a course to suit all requirements. The hill climb on the previous closing holes has also been eliminated with the added benefit of two loops of 9 holes.
