Poster Competition
Information for Student Poster Presenters – IJCLE Conference 2010
The International Journal of Clinical Legal Education features articles, discussion and news about the ever-expanding area of clinical legal education. The journal has always welcomed the contributions of students as providing a unique and valuable perspective.
The annual IJCLE conference serves as a unique forum in which clinical educators from all jurisdictions can come together to discuss all aspects of clinical teaching and learning, to learn from one another and to share best practice, and again the contribution of students to this forum is warmly welcomed.
The conference will focus on the impact that clinical learning might have on the life of future lawyers and thus on the legal systems they help to shape. All these themes are highly relevant to students.
This year we are inviting students to take part in a poster presentation, which will provide a lively forum for exchanging ideas and experiences.
- The student(s) do not need to be a conference delegate to take part in the poster competition
- The poster display is open to all current students of law worldwide including those who graduate during 2010.
- The work may be collaborative but all work must be carried out by law students
- The theme of the posters should reflect one or more of the conference themes;
“Education is not a preparation for life but is life itself” (John Dewey)
Clinic and the lawyers of the future
This year’s particular conference themes include:
Clinical education and preparation for life
The changing face of lawyering
Lifelong learning
Reflective practice
Competing interests
Justice education
Conflicts in clinic
Teaching professionalism
The relationship between clinic and pro bono
Best practice in clinical supervision
Student experience and student attitudes
